Ashley has written five books. Her most recent, She Wrote, He Wrote: A New York Love Story, will be released by Wordeee on May 12, 2026 in paperback, Kindle and audiobook.
Ashley received a scholarship to study at the Disquiet International Literary Program for her short story, “Aunt Maryann Was Stolen,” which was published by Cosmonauts Avenue. Another one of her short stories, "Daddy's Girl," received the SLS-St. Petersburg Review prize and was published in the St. Petersburg Review. She was also awarded a writing fellowship with The Edward F. Albee Foundation and has been a contributor to Moviemaker Magazine and The Huffington Post.
